Stone appliqué starts with preparing the digital layout of the design. The layout is planned according to stone size and the stretch of the fabric.
The application transfers stones arranged on a carrier sheet onto the fabric using heat and pressure. Temperature and dwell time are set according to the fabric type.
Wash durability is tested afterwards. In a correctly executed application the stones stay in place after several washes.
On stretch fabrics, keeping the stone size small reduces the risk of stones coming loose.
